Spreading Warmth Before the New Year: Student Union Connects with Community Through Calligraphy

To welcome the Lunar New Year of the Horse and enhance the festive atmosphere, our School's Student Union organized the "New Year Fai Chun Giveaway" community service event today (February 12) at Yau Oi Square.

A highlight of the event was the live calligraphy demonstration. Student Union members showcased their artistic talents by writing traditional Fai Chun on the spot, bringing Chinese culture directly into the heart of the community and sharing their well-wishes through ink and brush.

The event was met with great enthusiasm from the residents of Yau Oi Estate. Many elderly residents and locals praised the students’ calligraphy skills, noting that hand-written scrolls carry more warmth and tradition than mass-produced prints.

Through this initiative, the school aims to help students practice the spirit of "Caring for and Serving the Community," strengthening the bond between the school and its neighbors while building students’ self-confidence.

As the New Year approaches, we wish all parents, alumni, and neighbors good health, academic success, and a prosperous year ahead.
