The First High Table Dinner Concludes Successfully

The tradition of the High Table Dinner originates from the centuries-old customs of the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford. Faculty, students, and distinguished guests gather in a solemn setting to share a meal, exchange ideas, and uphold the spirit of scholarship. Today, it has become an important occasion for institutions to honor excellence and promote respect for teachers and mentors. This year, our school proudly hosted its very first High Table Dinner.

Three key purposes, one unforgettable evening:

1️⃣ To recognize approximately forty outstanding students — their hard work deserves resounding applause.

2️⃣ To welcome back more than twenty distinguished alumni and over twenty community leaders — professors, engineers, entrepreneurs, district councilors, and more. Their stories were truly inspiring.

3️⃣ To express gratitude to the primary schools and kindergartens in Tuen Mun — your dedication has laid the strongest foundation for our children.

This grand dinner became a remarkable platform for educators, alumni, and students to inspire one another.

Highlights of the evening:

? The school marching band delivered a powerful opening, igniting the entire hall.

? Alumnus Mr. Kwok Chun-ho served as master of ceremonies, striking the perfect balance of humor and elegance.

? Students engaged in meaningful conversations with guests from various sectors, discussing topics ranging from community service to further studies and career development, all with confidence and poise.

? Piano and saxophone performances alternated throughout the evening, filling the air with graceful melodies. Guests were full of praise: “These students are truly remarkable!”

Reflections: The High Table Dinner was not merely a formal banquet, but also a vivid lesson in social etiquette. Students learned how to converse with confidence, dine with elegance, and carry themselves with composure in public. These invaluable experiences will serve as precious assets on their journey of growth.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every guest, alumnus, teacher, and, most importantly, our exceptional students.

We look forward to seeing you again next year!
