We are delighted to share wonderful news: our teaching team has once again received top honors in the professional field of promoting teacher ethics and nurturing students with virtue! Vice Principal Mr. Wu Chun-ho, through his outstanding teaching performance and noble professional conduct, was awarded the “Excellence Award” in the 3rd Hong Kong Outstanding Teacher Ethics and Conduct Award Selection, organized by Ta Kung Pao, guided by the Education Bureau, and co-organized by the Education University of Hong Kong and several principals’ associations. The “Excellence Award” is the highest honor in this selection, proving that Vice Principal Wu’s professional achievements have reached the pinnacle of the industry.

This competition adopted the standards proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping for being a “Four Haves” good teacher (having ideals and beliefs, moral integrity, solid knowledge, and a caring heart). It aims to commend outstanding role models who combine virtue and talent and devote themselves to education. Among the many participating teachers across Hong Kong, winners were rigorously selected by a judging panel composed of education experts, scholars, and senior media professionals, ensuring high recognition. Because Vice Principal Wu’s teaching philosophy and inspiring deeds deeply impressed the judges, Ta Kung Pao had earlier dispatched reporters to our school for an in-depth interview, allowing citizens across Hong Kong to witness the educational excellence of our leadership team.

The award ceremony was grandly held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Soochow School. We were honored to have Mr. John Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Ms. Christine Choi, Secretary for Education, personally present the awards. This distinction belongs not only to Vice Principal Wu but is also a collective pride of our school.
